What is a Certificate III in Information Technology all about?
The Certificate III in IT aims to provide students with the practical skills and knowledge to enable them to efficiently use a computer for a range of purposes, either in the workplace, for further study in VET or HE, for personal use or to gain employment. This course will help you gain, employment opportunities, a good grounding in computer operations and application software, improved understanding in information, communication and technology.
This qualification articulates into numerous VET courses offered nationally. The training in this course is conducted with up-to-date computer hardware and software the student would expect to use in industry.

The Units of Competency
To achieve a Certificate III in Information Technology a total of FOURTEEN - SIXTEEN (14-16) units of competency must be completed depending on the specialisation selected.
For the Network Administration specialisation students must complete a total of SIXTEEN units of competency comprising SIX (6) common core units of competency; SIX (6) specialist core units of competency plus FOUR (4) elective units of competency as detailed in the packaging rules and listed below.
