What is a Certificate II in Business all about?

Build a career in the business/office workplace by learning the skills and knowledge to confidently work as a general office assistant. This qualification builds on Certificate I by continuing to develop knowledge, understanding and application of clerical, administrative and secretarial practices. Graduands should expect entry-level employment through this course in the private or public sector in a small or large enterprise.

This certificate aims to develop practical competence and understanding of basic office skills necessary for employment as an office assistant or receptionist. It also aims to re-equip mature age students with the skills necessary to re-enter the workforce. Click for pricing »

The Units of Competency

To achieve a Certificate II in Business students must complete a total of TWELVE (12) units of competency.
This comprises a minimum of:

One (1) core unit of competency plus Eleven (11) elective units seven (7) of the elective units must be selected from the elective units listed below. The other 4 elective units may be selected from the remaining elective units listed below, the BSB07 Business Services Training Package or any other currently endorsed national Training Package. If not listed below, a maximum of 2 of the 4 units may be selected from either a Certificate I or a Certificate III qualification.

Elective units must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and the qualification level. Units selected from other Training Packages must not duplicate units selected from or available within the BSB07 Business Services Training Package.
